The Foundation's programs cover all modes of transportation, public and private sectors, and carriers as well as passengers and shippers. To enhance its effectiveness, the Foundation often works in partnership with others in government, industry, or academia. The Foundation engages in three primary activities:

  • Professional Development—The Foundation sponsors professional development and training programs to prepare transportation professionals with the skills they need to manage in today's dynamic environment.
  • Policy Forums—Eno conducts non-partisan policy forums to alert transportation leaders from the public and private sectors to important emerging issues and to assist them in developing the understanding needed to address challenges effectively.

  • Publications—Eno publishes educational and resource materials on significant topics in transportation.

The Foundation takes great care to ensure that its programs are objective and credible. While it works closely with federal, state, and local government policymakers, Eno does not advocate for the adoption of particular transportation policies or programs.

Eno programs are managed by the Foundation's professional staff, aided at times by leading national consultants. The Foundation's headquarters office is located in Washington, DC.
