Frank J. Lichtanski Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Frank J. Lichtanski Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the memory of Frank J. Lichtanski, longtime general manager and chief executive officer of Monterey-Salinas Transit in Monterey, California, who was well-known for his support of small and medium-sized transit agencies and his commitment to educating future transit leaders. Frank was involved in Eno's Center for Transit Leadership (CTL) Executive Development Program since its inception, and served as a CTL instructor until his death in 2005.

The Lichtanski Fund was announced by Monterey-Salinas Transit, the American Public Transit Foundation, Dr. Barbara Gannon, Psy.D., and the Eno Foundation in 2005 to celebrate Frank's dedication to the public transit industry and to ongoing professional development. Each year, the Fund provides tuition support for one or more qualified professionals from small and medium-sized transit agencies to participate in the CTL Executive Development Program.

How to Apply

To apply for the Lichtanski scholarship, candidates should include with their application material a document stating their interest in applying for the scholarship and how participation in the Eno CTL Executive Development Program might help prepare them to meet the particular challenges faced by smaller public transportation organizations.
