TCRP ANNOUNCES TEAM LEADER OPPORTUNITY FOR FALL 2006 STUDY MISSION ON RAIL PASSENGER SAFETY

A call for nominations has been issued for the role of Team Leader for the International Transit Studies Program mission scheduled for next fall. The program will explore rail passenger safety in Europe, with particular focus on commuter services in mixed traffic environments. Topics to be explored include vehicle design, automatic train control systems, grade crossing technologies, crash energy management, push-pull operations, and other risk management techniques.
