THE INTERNATIONAL TRANSIT STUDIES PROGRAM ANNOUNCES MEMBERS OF THE 2005 FALL MISSION Twelve transit professionals from properties across the United States have been selected to participate in the upcoming International Transit Studies Program in Europe and Asia to study innovative techniques in planning and financing public transportation projects. The mission will be led by Rick Simonetta, President and CEO of Phoenix's Valley Metro Rail. View the 2005 Fall Mission Team. The International Transit Studies Program (ITSP) is a project of the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) and is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). TCRP is administered by the National Academy of Sciences, acting through its Transportation Research Board in cooperation with the Transit Development Corporation (the educational and research arm of the American Public Transportation Association) and the FTA. The Eno Transportation Foundation coordinates and manages the International Transit Studies Program under a contract with the National Academy of Sciences.
